Four businesses have signed on to join a new Triangle development. The tenants will join a grocery store-anchored Academy Village, located in Fuquay-Varina. While still under construction, the development will welcome a fitness studio, nail salon, dentist office and sandwich shop, in addition to Lowes Foods. The first buildings of Academy Village, located off East Academy Street at Old Honeycutt Road, are expected to deliver in the first quarter of 2027. MPV Properties and Proffitt Dixon Partners are the developers behind Academy Village. “Interest in Academy Village has been incredibly strong, and these new tenant commitments underscore the quality of this project,” Robbie Adams, director of retail at MPV, said in a news release. “With Lowes Foods as our anchor and an expanding mix of retail, dining, fitness, and service providers, Academy Village is poised to become a central gathering place for the Fuquay-Varina community.”
Proffitt Dixon plans to build multifamily housing at Academy Village, which “is expected to provide a built-in customer base supporting long-term tenant success,” Adams said.
